a-hummm

A few years ago a composer - John Oswald - extracted Gould's humming bits from the Goldbergs and used them as the basis of a commission for the National Ballet of Canada.
The music starts with seemingly disjointed hums. The hums build up, take shape - end up as the opening aria. There's more - that's just the opening of the work.

Neat idea (obvious, p'raps...but Oswald acted on it...)
