OT: computer DOH! translators

My German sucks, so I used a computer translator on the biography of a
famous German engineer who invented the way to compute rocket orbit paths
from planet to planet (decades before rockets even existed).

I couldn't understand why the translation talked so much about him eating
this and eating that. The biography seemed to imply that eating was the most
important thing in his life. In every paragraph he was eating something.

I finally figured it out: He lived most of his life in the city of Essen.

I love computer translators! They're worse at languages than I am!

Bob

PS for Valeria: The postage-stamp artist Donald Evans' imaginary country
that's supposed to be Italia is called "lo Stato di Mangiare."
