This is a book :), but have you read Rhona Bergman's book The Idea of
Gould?  She has several sections about Gould in his student days,
interviewing some people from those times who I had never seen
interviewed before, including another student of Guerrero's (who
attended class with GG, etc.).

FWIW, I thought the book as a whole was quite marvelous (as has been
discussed here before). I see only one copy on the Internet right now,
from a bookseller at www.abebooks.com.
