Re: GG...and that harpsichord

Well, all this talk of the infamous harpsichord recording
got me interested, so I'm listening to it again. It's been
maybe over a year since I last heard it and I'm really enjoying
it a lot.

First, I forgot how good this music is from Handel. Those preludes
and gigues are great! And the fuga in the Fmajor suite is show
stopper.

I'm listening with headphones (stupid labtec speakers just failed
again, my second set! after about a year, they just plain die!) and
I like this recording a lot more now, than the first time I heard
it. GG does manage to get a wide variety of tones that tells me
he had FUN. I've played a harpsichord before and that is one of
the very most fun things about a harpsichord, discovering all the
tones it can make and it's REALLY fun to make sudden tone changes.

I think we were lucky to get this recording from GG when it sounds
like to me, he is going thru that fun stage.
