Re: [F_minor] GG Signature: Is This Autograph Legit?

Evidently. GG did sometimes sign his name with two 'n's, especially when young...Take a look at
his passport :-

Having said that, something about this signature seems a bit different from his usual scrawl!
But I am no expert on handwriting.
The description of the item says it is a page from an autograph album. Wouldn't this mean it is
a rare item? I thought he very seldom signed autographs in this manner, although I have seen
several reproductions of photographs he signed, sometimes with a brief message to a particular
particular person.
Anne - (or anyone else) : Are you going to bid for it?

Hello Anne... keep in mind that Glenn's signature, like his
opinions of Mozart, varied
depending on the phases of the moon and how he was feeling
on any particular day.

Having said that, this particular autograph does seem a
trifle askew... I would need to
know more details (was it mailed out to someone? taken from
a Christmas card? written at
a concert?). 1960 was in the middle of Glenn's concertizing
years, and I've noticed his
signatures seem to oscillate widely whenever he was on a
concert tour. And Bill could be
any number of well known Bills, or an admirer...

Respectfully,
Matthew
