Re: [F_minor] Allusions to Glenn Gould in Literature
I invite the F_minor members that can give an opinion on Glenn
versus Evgeni
I have the recording of "Die Kunst der Fuge" by Evgeni Koroliov (on
piano). I think it is more Gouldian in flavor than almost any other
recording I've heard. Hence for a long time it was my favorite complete
recording of AoF, since sadly GG did not grant us one. (Vladimir
Feltsman's has overtaken it, for me. I am not sure I would call
Feltsman's "Gouldian", exactly, however.)
However, this is all pretty much a matter of personal judgement, so
don't take my little reactions as anything authoritative ...
Best,
karl
