[F_minor] Allusions to Glenn Gould in Literature

Hello Jason
I am reading François Weyergans's "Trois jours chez ma mere"
Collection Folio, Éditions Gallimard; in page 85 the author writes ( I
am translating from French) that the central personage puts a record
of Evgeni Koroliov, the Russian Pianist that crushes (ecrase) Glenn
Gould in Goldberg Variations (Variations Goldberg); then he changes
his mind (more or less) listening again to Gould; I am making no
judgement because I don't know the Evgeni record that have won a
french prize - Le Diapason d'or- what perhaps explain the text; anyway
let me know if you need more information and I invite the F_minor
members that can give an opinion on Glenn versus Evgeni to join the
thread:
Kind Regards
Jose Antonio Soares
