Speaking of which, I'd venture to say that no one outshone Bach in his
total devotion to God. Seems that maybe except for his rare venture
into humor (the Koffee Cantata) almost all was devoted to God in one way
or the other. Mind you, most of the Renaissance composers would say
that they labored for God.....so, maybe I'm getting carried away with
Bach.
BTW, going back to GG, if you put his name into YouTube, you'll find a
whole bunch of rare and delicious video stuff with Glenn, including some
talks he had with Bruno what's his name...that in turn showed up in
"Gould Hereafter". The thing is, there is a lot of Gould in youtube and
worth the bother to look up.
Cheers,
Fred

Messiaen also had a great relationship with god, but it sounds like a
much happier one......
