GG:Das Marienleben

I haven't completed reading the f_minor archive in its entirety yet but so far I've not not read much about one of my favorite GG recordings: the Hindemith Das Marienleben. In his very extensive liner notes for the piece GG is rather disparaging of Hindemith's conclusion to the song cycle, so it has always been with a somewhat sheepish pleasure I've listened to the finale. 

(One of the ironies of my listening habits is that some of my favourite works are ones that I listen to least often for fear of ruining the vinyl recordings. There are too many other CD's on my want list so it will probably be some time before I order the Hindemith.)

Would anyone else on the list take the Marienleben to his or her desert island?
