R: Re: CBC contest

Dears F minors,

I try to define the Mr Brian D.Johnson's questions as my think.

>Appropriate in what sense?

I agree with Mr James Whiskeychan : GG did'nt love the competitions but, in this case,
I think that the contest is an excellent opportunity among many other GG's celebrations.

>Does it help educate the public about Mr. Gould’s life and work?

The contest permit us to approach GG in a news way

>Does it raise interest in Mr. Gould?

Certainly!

>Does it raise interest in Good Music in general?

I hope ....

>Does it raise the ratings of CBC through an exploitive use of his name and work?

CBC and GG had a glorious past and, today again, their glory is actual.

>Is it in Good Taste?

I think it is a nice idea.

Best

Appropriate in what sense?

Does it help educate the public about Mr. Gould’s life and work?

Does it raise interest in Mr. Gould?

Does it raise interest in Good Music in general?

Does it raise the ratings of CBC through an exploitive use of his name and work?

Is it in Good Taste?

Help us define the question please.

Best regards.

Hi F Minors,

Considering how Glenn Gould felt about competitions, is it appropriate for CBC to hold contests in his honour?

Opinions, please.

James
