gould and the moog funnyness

hello everybody!

just thought i'd say how pleased i am with the new layout to the glenngould magazine.

whilst we're on the subject of walter/wendy carlos can i also say how amusing i find the last part of the concert dropout recorded interview when John McClure says how he'd love to see what'd happen if Gould was let loose in the recording studio with a moog synthesizer, to which Gould replies something like:

" It may end up sounding like Richard Strauss; be prepared for that eventuality!"

Always makes me laugh, every time I hear it. I love him!

and i love elmer-elevator tooooooooo!

bye now everyone! may gould be with you!

" When one makes a recording...you are influencing not only many more people numerically than you could perhaps in a concert, but influencing them forever - not just for one moment, one evening, which they may or may not recall, but forever. "
Glenn Herbert Gould
