a reconsideration and apology

The thing that made me have that little "outburst" was when someone said that all I do is drool over Glenn's pictures, and that I should learn more about him musically. Glenn's recordings of Bach are the whole reason I got into him in the first place. I never truely appreciated Bach's music until I heard Glenn play it! It even inspired me to play the Bach preludes which are now my favorite pieces to play on piano. I feel like I'm paying some sort of tribute to Glenn while I play them. I listen to Glenn's recordings throughout my 2 hour drive to work and back home every day. It's the sweetest and most remarkable bliss for me. I cherish all his interpretations. I'm putting him in my list of thanks on a cd I'm making of piano works this year. I have also even been the cause of many people becoming Glenn fans. I have made him extremely well known in my music classes at college where no students knew anything about him (except that he played Bach)! It was so sad...

So when someone claims that all I care about is Glenn's looks, of course that's the last straw, because I think I've talked about plenty of other things besides his physical appearance.  And if someone is only going to always see what he/she thinks is the negative of what I have to say, then I don't see the point in speaking anything at all.

But since people have apoligized, I will also. (I do have a soft-hearted side when people aren't insulting me =0/ ) I will apologize for the sake of the outburst, but I never say anything that I don't truely believe in. People are themselves whether they are angry are happy. There is no excuse that what was said while one was furious was just a mistake. I'm just sorry it had to end up like this. I do have a short temper when people make assumptions about my obsessions (yes Glenn is an obsession of mine, but an obsession in the best sense of the word) that are wrong, because what a person looks like means absolutely nothing to me compared to their mind.

I thought about unsubscribing for that one second, but now I realize that I love Glenn too much to let any argument steer me away from anything that might help me learn more about him, or get involved with others who love him in the same way.

From now on, I will just try to ignore what I find extremely offensive, but I will not stop defending myself or what I believe in.

=0)
