Re: Gould as Christian Existentialist



Yes, "Either/Or" was required at my college and puts the choice
between philosophy and Christianity in stark relief -- at least
according to his perspective. Also, he wrote a very interesting
analysis of Don Giovanni -- and, given Kierkegaard's reputation as a
Christian writer, rather startling.

Although I can't don't know whether Gould read Kierkegaard, I think
it's a fascinating question.
