Re: GG:GG music in movies

G'day Xavier !
Sometimes I think that film directors has no many musical taste,
because there is no reason between some violent scenes and classical
music. I am not saying it's not ok, because some classical music works
has some kind of "underground anxiety" but, for example, what violence
has Goldberg variations with "Silence of Lambs"???!!!! It were composed
 to sleeping !!!
Just in case you haven't seen the movie:: Hannibal Lecter is a very smart psychiatrist and a serial killer. In the particular scene with the GV's he is about to kill a security guard and basically eating his organs.....
btw thomas harris is about to write a second part to SotL
I think film directors want to be genial and they are simply stupid, in
 the majority of cases.
to say that people like francis ford coppola (apocalypse now) and Stanley Kubrick (a connaisseur of classical music, (2001, Clockwork Orange)) are stupid is not really fair. but that is your opinion

Of course coppola and Kubrick don't have every shingle on the shangle, but who has these days ?
Like gould, these two are driven by something that may ge genius.....or insanity

have a brilliant day !
