Just an info re Attila Csampai:
He was born in 1949 in Budapest and 
is a journalist of music in Munchen.
I hear he has done good works in the area of opera.
(There are Japanese translations of his commentaries for opera.)

BTW, the discography in the book, 
made by Michale Stegemann, 
the writer of linernotes for Sony's GG and
the author of a GG bio in German language,
is one of the simplest but the most useful GG discographies.
