In The Glenn Gould Collection Vol. XIV "The Question of INstrument", Gould tells, Bruno Monsaingeon that of the Partitas, he considers the 6th to be the "darkest, the most brooding, the most intense, the most 'me'". He calls the 5th the most "obviosly virtuosic", the 1st the "most charming", and the second "the most interesting dichotomy...between drama in humor". Hope this helps! Jeremy
