    there a vast archive of unreleased material from the vaults, or we
    have tapped out the good stuff??

Everything GG recorded in the studio has been released now (a couple
years ago actually), at least according to the lists prepared by Nancy
Cannery.

I'm sure there are many otherwise-unreleased pieces from his TV shows
(not to mention the shows themselves).  The one I'd most like is Cp.6
from Art of Fugue :).

And there may be a few concert bootlegs out there.

But, no, there's no vast archive left in the vaults.
