Re: R: R: GG Goldberg 81 Question
First, thanks for the quck replies.
I've been at Amazon.COM (US), many record stores, CDNOW, etc.
The only Glenn Gould Edition version of the 81 Goldberg recording
available is a mini disc version. Yes, it's the smaller sized CD that
Sony is distributing, really to help their mini disc recorder/players.
According to the US Sony Classical Site, the informataion about
this recording concerns the mini disc version. I've seen it at a
local Best Buys store -- and while I MAY buy it for the sake of
completeness, it won't really do me much good unless I buy
a mini disc player.
According to the Canadian Sony Classical site, the GGE disc MAY be
available in Canada. It didn't indicate that it was mini disc recording
when you look at the details at that site.
I have the Sony / Columbia Masterworks version. The rear
cover shows photos from the 55 and 81 recordings. The 81
recording should be with the Yamaha piano.
