Howard, I don't know if you've stuck with the list, but anyway, ever
since, I've wanted to ask you whether GG came as `fully formed' as he

interpretations were from the very beginning -- the rendition of
Contrapunctus 1 from the Art of Fugue that he does in Off the Record
(circa what, 1958 or something) is pretty close to how he did it for
Bruno's film in 1978.

You obviously knew him from the very beginning of his recording career;
I wonder what kinds of (especially musical) changes you noticed in him?
