Dear all,

	I have to agree about the parody productions that I've encountered; I
haven't seen any video stuff, but I couldn't make it through the 25th
anniversary "Hysteric Return" record.  On the other hand, though, Gould's
humor in his writing can often be very effective.  The "GG interviews GG
about GG" has some really funny moments ("There's a certain grim, I might
even say grey, consistency about your views, Mr. Gould...") and the opening
of his piece on Stokowski where he recounts his youthful encounter with
"Fantasia" is (IMHO) funny, perfectly-drawn self-satire.  I'm with Michael
on listening to Gould, but I wouldn't want to part with reading him either.
