Howdy,
The drama I hear in the KJ performance is the drama of the notes
themselves...the belief that the music itself is expressive; that it stirs
emotion in the listener. You don't have to try to relate to the emotion of
the performer. Note in KJ the calm serenity in the C major prelude, the
skipping joy of the C# prelude, and so on.
Anyway, good to hear back from you.
Some KJ albums worth hearing:
"La Scala" (heartbreaking, violent, it runs the gamut)
"Book of Ways" (on clavichord!)
"Vienna Concert" (unbelievable, so far reaching)
