No it isn't. Rudolf Serkin played the Goldberg Variation on 1928 for
Welte Mignon piano roles. He played the entire piece at 32 min without
repetition; as fast as GG's on 1955.
He also played in the early 20s, Brandenburg Concerto No 5 with piano, as
GG did in the early 60s.
