GG:ABC's of genius
Hi all--
Of late, been reading a book on Friedrich Froebel (the inventor of
kindergarten). Didn't realize the influence Froebel had on what we call
Modernism in art & design (Frank Lloyd Wright & Buckminster Fuller count
among the few). Naturally, this led to thoughts about GG's early years. Was
he enrolled in kindergarten? (I admit I know nothing about the Canadian
preschool educational system.) I would assume he was under the careful
tutelage of his mother Florence.
We all know of GG's natural gifts, but what about those early and terribly
crucial formative experiences? (The book mentioned above, btw, is:
Inventing Kindergarten by Norman Brosterman.)
