Jon, I like your idea of a separate list to discuss music in general 
(not just Bach.) Such a list would relieve those who want to keep 
this exclusively GG. I see it as having much the same membership and 
a broad range in topics.

I belong to lists that are like that. All of the list members are 
interested in James Joyce and his works but some are more interested 
in Ulysses than in Finnegans Wake and vice versa. Most members belong 
to both as well as to a live time discussion group and an ad hoc 
reading group.
