Great fun. Thanks! It's obvious to me that for all his
anti-competitive rhetoric, Gould was fiercely competitive - and so
what. He kept himself at the top! But Leonard Bernstein kicks his
ass on the Googlefight site.....

OK, I know Glenn didn't like competition, but...
Now you can send Glenn Gould against Vladimir Horowitz:
http://www.googlefight.com/index.php?lang=en_GB&word1=%22Glenn+Gould%22&word2=%
22Vladimir+Horowitz%22
If that URL is too long, you can enter the site from here:
http://www.googlefight.com
And then type "Glenn Gould" and "Vladimir Horowitz" in the appropriate
spaces.
(I think you need the quotation marks.)
Now I wonder what Glenn would think of this? Sure, he hated competition.
But I
think he'd be secretly pleased that he won at the same time. ;-) After
all,
this is the guy whose word games could go on for hours. If that's not what
competition is, I don't know what else it could be. (But we love ya
anyway,
Glenn.)
