In the mail today, I recieved the scorebook for
"Glenn's 5 short piano pieces." I have not yet
studied or performed them completely, but I did
quickly glance over them and play a few measures.
He uses no key signatures, but the pieces are flooded
with sharps and flats. They are contemporary
and dark. Does anyone
else own this scorebook? If so, let me know your
views on these compositions. Glenn composed them
when he was only 17. : )

Another Glenn thing I recieved was a cd full of pieces
he played when he was a teenager and in his early 20s.
It includes Mozart piano music for four hands, the pieces
he played with Alberto Guierrero.
And there are pieces he performs with violinist Albert Pratz,
which are incredibly fascinating. My favorite is "Three
Fantastic Dances," by Shostakovich. Also on the cd
is Glenn's private recording of Bach's Italian Concerto.
There is quite a difference between this and the later version.

Anyway, both this cd and scorebook were worth the money.
