Lyrichord Discs is publishing a series of
recordings of the major keyboard works of J.S. Bach, many of them in their
recorded debut on clavichord, played by Richard Troeger. Vol. 1 of the
series BACH ON CLAVICHORD (LEMS 8038) came out recently (2 CDs priced as one,
$16.98), available at Tower, HMV, etc. and also from www.lyrichord.com . The 7 Toccatas
will be issued shortly. The clavichords heard on these recordings are by
Ronald Haas, based on antique prototypes.
