I don't think so.  It's clear, however, that the director had seen the 
CBC documentary ON THE RECORD and that he managed to cast
some actors who looked very much like Howard Scott and the
Columbia engineers from that particular session.  That
particular segment bothered me a bit because I kept thinking
how much stronger the original documentary footage was
vs. the "re-enactment".
