there is a trend going when talking about mr gould. because of his
(apparently?) contradictory behaviour, his drug abuse, his many
idiosyncracies noone appears to take what he says seriously! one always
says something like "well he said this and that but he was a crook u
know..."

i belive when gould says something he also means it, especially when
putting it like in the quote of competition.

someone said that a genius is a man that combine things that apparently
are paradoxes into a unity, and i belive gould was a genius in that
meaning.

btw; why is it so that geniuses always are so bad at driving?
