Schiff's Bach is an interesting contrast to that of Gould. Schiff is a warmer, gentler soul than the robust Mr Gould. It reflects on the potential of Bach for vastly different interpretations. I like Schiff's inventions recording as much as that of Gould's. It is thoughtful and considered. As for ranking Schiff above Gould - I agree that's just idle nonsense. gb David Dahlbom wrote:
