Hello List and Mary Jo Watts:
Work begun in 1947 by Pierre Schaeffer of France who juggled the Attack,
Sustain, Decay characteristics of various recorded sounds in his tape
experiments which had a great deal to do with the Musique Concrete
movement in the 1950's, and was an historical precedant to today's
electroacoustic and acousmatic music.
Also, first work commissioned and designed exclusively for 12" vinyl:
"Silver Apples of the Moon" realized by Morton Subotnick on a Buchla
analogue machine.
