Hello all, By coincidence, there is a 'Bata Shoe Museum' in Toronto. It probably has nothing to do with the matter at hand, but I thought I'd mention it since it's in, well, Toronto. I searched on Metacrawler and found that 'Bata' seems to be a pretty popular surname. My guess is that Bata is/was a film maker. -J
