GG: Silence of the Lambs

There's an interesting use of the Goldbergs in the film "Silence of the
Lambs". The "cage-scene", where Hannibal Lecter kills the two guards,
starts out with the second part of the opening Aria. But when he has
knocked the guards unconscious there's a cut to when Lecter stands, like
hypnotized, listening to the music. And now it's variation 7 that's
playing, which must mean that he's been standing like that for several
minutes! Pretty "cool" considering that someone could have walked in the
room any minute.

Well, I'm not entirely comfortable associating the Goldbergs with blood,
cannibalism and death. Still, the music feels right for the scene ...

According to the Internet Movie Database, the Goldbergs in the film are
played by Jerry Zimmerman.
