Glenn Gould is coming to the NAC in Ottawa

Well OK, not Glenn Gould, but a performance of Alexina Louie's work, "O
Magnum Mysterium: In Memoriam Glenn Gould". Fittingly, it will be
performed September 24/25, 2003, at the National Arts Centre (NAC) in
Ottawa, Canada (along with Mozart's Piano concerto no. 24 and
Beethoven's Eroica symphony no. 3). This appears to be a Gouldian
oriented program, as this was the only Mozart piano concerto he ever
played, and the Eroica symphony was one of his favourites (the pianist
will be Lang Lang).

I just received the NAC's program for the upcoming year. It features
quite a few interesting Gouldian performances. I would highly recommend
anyone in the Ottawa area check out some of these great performers! If
anyone can make it to the Sept.25th performance, I'll be in the front
rows singing at the top of my voice :-).
