GG: translation from English to English
Can anyone out there tell me what GG was on about in his voice-over to
Terry Riley's "In C" (page 266-7 of the Glenn Gould Reader)???
I'm interested to get an idea of GG's opinions about participatory
music but I'm not sure this is the best place to look.
Also-- can anyone (gulp) tell me of any places where GG mentions John
Cage except the Chemins de la musique videos, and the interview LP?
The smatterings of his writing about JC in the reader are buried in
Gouldese. (pages 50 and 224 especially.) Anyone want to take a go at
translating these passages for me?
Thanks!
mj
