Quite right. I have seen various posts in the archives about GG and religion. I was not on the list then so I hope nobody minds my putting in my 2 cents worth now.
Glenn Glould was brought up in the United Church of Canada. Even though he was not a church goer as an adult,the hours he spent in church as a child must have affected him. The United Church is a union of Methodists and Presbyterians. I have belonged to the United Church for a long time. We have not forgotten that Christianity began from Judaism. We retain the Jewish horror of idolatry. Anyone brought up as GG was would be truly offended at being considered a god.
Personally, I consider the genius of Glenn Gould a gift from God, something we humans can not comprehend
