Actually, I believe this really is Glenn Gould, singing the title role
of the dark gypsy in Bizet's masterpiece, Carmen. Gould had long wanted
to perform live opera, but didn't want to risk his reputation. So late
in his life, he quietly recorded this opera and it is only known
recording that has been released.
You should hear Gould's Puccini, it is to die for.

1996) Evidently an arrangement of music from Bizet's opera "Carmen".
