Sentimentality vs. intellectuality
This is a very old argument and one in which I am inclined to favour the non-nominalist. Those are: The ones that do not award a "real" title to which for me are abstractions of existence.
Separating intellect from feelings is not really in favour in current ephistemology. I agree with this point of view since both are -at the end- interlinked chemical and electrical processes in the brain.
Gould's interpretation of Bach is a "living" interpretation not a maths theorem.
