Fw: [MAHLER-LIST] lebrecht live/recordings

Friends:

I am forwarding this program notice from the Gustav Mahler List Serv. The
music critic Norman Lebrecht will be hosting a program on BBC Radio 3 on the
state of the recording industry and if it has entered its "death throes".
Not something Gould might have predicted (or wanted), but take it for what
it is worth and leave the rest.

On lebrecht live this Wednesday, I shall be asking whether the record
industry has entered its final death throes.

With me in the studio and beyond I shall have Costa Pilavachi, president of
Decca/Philips, Robert von Bahr, founder of BIS, any number of dispossessed
recording artists and a vast range of consumer opinion.

Get your e-mails in first to: lebrechtlive@bbc.co.uk

And check in on Wednesday, if you have the time, from 1845 London time at
www.bbc.co.uk/radio3
