Dear F minor members,
These are very sad times... Maryjo, Elmer speak of music as a medicine for
the soul, such as Barber's adagio. I love it very much and always wanted to
know in what circumstances Barber composed it.
The kind of help music can give is a complex one = it's altogether soothing
and helping you to weep more and to go deeper in your pain, though nothing
is named... in fact, the sufferings of the poor American people are
nameless...
USA and the world will need comfort but there won't be true hope for
children, Elmer, unless adults make a great effort to think over why these
terrible events happened and unless each of us take on one's personal
responsability for their future...
