Does anybody know of some analysis of BWV 526 (booklet, abstract,
essay)
that is comprehensible for a layman? Or do the organ-players on this list want to give some of their views on this piece, especially the first set, vivace? I need this for a comparison of this piece and the piece Chorinho of Jazz keybordist Lyle Mays (who wrote a masterpiece that bridges American jazz, Bachlike composition in bass progression and question&answer game in soprano and a Brazilian Chorinho dance accompagnato in the middle voices).
