Dear List

I find the idea of GG and Karajan as kondred spirits offensive.
Herr Von Karajan was a self confessed Nazi sympathiser, a concept I would
think unappealing in the extreme to someone of GG's sensitvity not to
mention intelligence.
Indeed the only recording they made together (Beethoven C Minor)is surely
inferior to the Bernstein recording, someone with whom GG had a lot more in
common with than Von Karajan.
Agreed?
