I wonder how early in his life Gould submerged into Schoenberg? Are there any
information/rumors about his playing style before his virtual acquaintance with
the composer? Was his mother or his later piano teachers
influenced by Schoeneberg? Then we could tell for sure if Gould's peculiarity
comes exclusively from the Schoenberg "filter" he puts the ideas through when
performing.
