On the occasion of the 18th anniversary of Glenn Gould's ascent to AOL Heaven on October 4, 1982, I offer this observation by the poet Donald Hall:

You think that their
dying is the worst
thing that could happen.

Then they stay dead.

Though only his music and words live on, we help ensure that they stay alive.
