Bonjour F minor,
- I also appreciated Bradley's marvellous explanations, Bach's writing is
also a pleasure for the mind, "didactic pleasure", even for non players.
- Somebody suggested lay people should not be shy in expressing their
opinions, so I'll take the plunge = why Sony has ended Gould's Art of fugue
CD with a Prelude and fugue instead of ending with the caesura ? It's a
musical nonsense and it spoils the emotion...
- I am a bit sad that nobody seems to know about the D. Tovey's Companion
to The Art of fugue (1931), reprinted in 1951, quoted in G. Payzant's book.
- Mario : please, can you put your last message back on my personal e-mail
because as I was just finishing reading it suddenly everything vanished ! I
just had time to memorize your Christian name and that you were asking for
having different languages on this F minor - "Jacqueline P. Colombier"
<jpc171@hotmail.com> - so, to be continued...
- I have ordered "Le nouvel Auditeur" (Syrinx) and I'll report about it in
a little while, in a bilingual version !
