Quiet in the list

Bonjour F Minor,

- I noticed Jim's complain that this list was too quiet lately. In fact, Jim, when I end reading messages very often I am
left with a rewarding feeling for the interesting informations I get from this List but also I feel sorry I have not much to give in return.
So I liked the idea of contributing to the anthology of the F Minor archives ! I agree with Birgit's comment = when do we start ! ?
- Jim's feeling of "going home again" - listening to Art of fugue - after a sort of enforced diet made me laugh...
my own last experience was  : stop listening to Gould's recording of it, have R. Hill's one, with the result = I loved the harpsichord
sound passionately but I miss the clarity and the restrained solemnity of Gould's piano recording...
- Does any one of you know if D. F. Tovey : A Companion to "The Art of fugue " (1931, London) can be found somewhere ?
I read that a journalist compared Gould's understanding of Bach to Tovey's one and it did not seem a minor compliment !
                                                                             Thanks,
                                                                          Jacqueline
