Who were his friends?

Well, one of my friends: The opera singer, Phyllis Curtin often speaks of
being one of the participants in GG's famous "spot the tape splice" listening
experience. She and her late husband, Eugene Cook, were on his "guest list"
and today this marvelous lady is happy, healthy and strong; living in the
Berkshires. And, at the drop of a hat, she can regale you with one great
story after another on a wide variety of topics, including GG, that she has
encountered in her illustrious career.    DP
