GG: New CD compilation -- "Mighty Organs"

I swear, I'm not making that name up! Someone is putting out a two-disc CD
compilation of organ music.
(Collector's Choice Music - #124 / June 27, 2000) It features E. Powers
Biggs, Gustav Leonhardt, and Anthony Newman.

And yes, it includes organ pieces by Glenn Gould. (Contrapunctus #1 and #2.
Not #9?! tsk tsk) How strange to think that some people might be introduced
to Glenn Gould via an organ recording.

Calling All Organ Experts...
I know what musicians generally think of Glenn Gould's organ recordings. (I
love them anyway. <g>) But what about Biggs, Leonhardt, and Newman? I know
they're among the Big Names of organ music, but are they really the best?


P.S. OK, maybe it's just me... But couldn't they have thought of a better
name for that CD?! Am I the only one who thinks of naughty things when I
see that phrase? I know I can't be the only one, because when I mentioned
it on another list, someone else replied with a LOL or maybe even a ROFL.
