Adaptec have just announced Toast 4, due out in the fall for about
US$100, less if you already own Toast (about $20 as far as I can gather).
Naturally, you need a CD burner as well. The press release reads in
part:"...seamless burning of authorized MP3 files to audio CD, CD Spin
Doctor (turn LPs into CDs), access to the CDDB online Disc Recognition
Service, and the ability to download and burn encrypted Liquid Audio
music files."

Toast 4 has specific components that allow the user to transfer LPs to
CD, among other things. The program also allows you to get rid of clicks
and hisses, although the blurb made no reference to humming pianists.
Anyway, if it's as good and as easy-to-use as Toast 3.5, Toast 4 should
be a winner.
