I agree with you Dr. Lehman. I am sorry for the misunderstanding and
consequent touch of flame. But, hey! GG is a hot topic, and obviously
remains controversial. It is important, as you previously stated, that we
must not get trapped into deifying GG and thinking of his playing as some
sort of dogma. There are indeed a LOT of great pianists and other groups
out there, and they must not be ignored because of GG's aura. Their
interpretations are worthy just as yours and mine are. Now, on to what the
list was intended for, and not the incessant flaming that occupies most of
the others!
